Thriverr Learn: New Economic Development Professional Cohort
What’s happening? Dakota Resources invites you to participate in a cohort training opportunity designed to support new economic development professionals by getting them up to speed more quickly in the work of economic and community development.
Who’s this for? Economic development professionals who have been in their role for two years or less.
What’s the value? You’ll be a part of a cohort experience, collaborating and learning together at the following pace and with the following content.
In-Person Session 1
Month 1: July
Potential Learning Activities include:
- Thriving Community Blueprint
- Interview with an experienced Economic Development Professional
- Skill Building: Resource Mapping
- Peer-to-Peer Learning
Virtual 1:1 Coaching
Month 2: August
Description: Individual one-hour sessions with a Dakota Resources Community Coach to work through any areas of your job where you may be stuck or need some additional coaching.
In-Person Session 2
Month 3: September
Potential Learning Activities include:
- Managing Boards and Budgets
- Interview with an experienced Economic Development Professional
- Skill Building: Limiting Beliefs
- Peer-to-Peer Learning
Virtual Session 3
Month 4: October
This session will be held via Zoom. Topics and length of the session are to be determined.
Virtual 1:1 Coaching
Month 5: November
Description: Individual one-hour session with a Dakota Resources Community Coach to work through any areas of your job where you may be stuck or need some additional coaching.
In-Person Session 4
Month 6: December
Potential Learning Activities include:
- Understanding Your Financials
- Interview with an experienced Economic Development Professional
- Skill Building: Powerful Questions
- Peer-to-Peer Learning
