RURAL CO.STARTERS COLLABORATIVE

Rural communities need strong local businesses. And those businesses need a strong support system. Dakota Resources has partnered with CO.STARTERS and Sioux Falls Start Up to provide the Rural CO.STARTERS Collaborative for rural economic development organizations.

Membership is $1,500 annually. Your membership gives you access to the following benefits.

CO.STARTERS Licence

Your license gives you access to the following benefits.

  • Event participation
  • Start-Up Alliance Quarterly Virtual meeting

Add-on support materials:

  • Training for additional facilitators, $275/person
  • CO.STARTERS Core Program Curriculum (10 weeks) for 10 participants, $3,500
  • CO.STARTERS Bootcamp (12-hour course) for 20 participants, $1,500
  • CO.STARTERS Generator youth programming

Thriverr Plus Membership

  • Access for up to four users per membership.
  • Registrations for up to four sessions of Thriverr Learn cohorts or Thriverr Gatherings at no additional cost (additional registrations cost $100).
  • Participation in Thriverr Live virtual events.
  • Access to the Thriverr Platform, including the discussion feed, resource library, and peer support network.
  • Private network space for Rural CO.STARTERS Collaborative for facilitators and program coordinators.
  • Quarterly roundtable virtual events to connect with other organizations.

Business Microloan Fund

Flexible Loan Terms

  • Collateral determined based on risk and approval requirements.
  • Up to 10-year maturity with possibility of renewal.
  • $25,000 maximum loan.
  • No prepayment or early principal payment penalty.

Borrower Eligibility

  • Graduates of CO.STARTERS proven by certificate.
  • Meet minimum financial and impact rating for pre-approval.

Rate Options

  • Fixed rate for 5 or 10 years: 5-9% depending upon risk and impact rating.
