Tanya is a landscape architect and partner at Tallgrass Landscape Architecture, with over 25 years of experience in planning and design. A rural resident for most of her life, Tanya specializes in working with rural people to create flourishing communities with high quality everyday lives through collaborative place-inspired design. She has served her region and profession on her local school board, Black Hills Special Services Co-Op Board, Design in the Hills Planning Committee, Rushmore Region Economic Development Board, and on the Board of the Nebraska/Dakotas Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. She currently serves as the President of Custer Area Economic Development Corporation and Foundation, ASLA Annual Conference Education Advisory Committee, and promotes rural issues nationally to the design professions. Tanya brings a friendly team-oriented approach and thoughtful creativity balanced with pragmatic solutions to every pursuit.
