Terri LaBrie
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY LENDING & FINANCE COACH
Terri LaBrie is the Director of Community Lending and Finance Coach for Dakota Resources. She brings 25 years of experience of working for the State of SD as a Senior Loan Officer for the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Prior to her work at GOED, she was the Finance Administrator in the Division of Ag Development for the Department of Agriculture for 15 years administering revolving loan funds, tax-exempt bond programs, and grants. Her previous work experience had her working closely with board members, farmers and ranchers, local banks, businesses, and community leaders, as well as other governmental and agricultural/economic development finance organizations. Terri LaBrie grew up on a family farm near Turton, S.D. and went to High School in Doland. She received a B.S. degree in Accounting from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. She’s completed her Economic Development Finance Professional Certification in 2008, completed the South Dakota Banker’s Association’s National School for the Experienced Ag Lender in 2012, obtained her Certificate for the Governor’s Leadership Development Program in 2017 and completed the NDC Rental Housing Development Course in 2020. She has served as President of the National Council of State Ag Finance Programs for 5 years, served as board member for GrowSD, and was a long-standing member for the National Association of Rural Rehabilitation Corporations where she also served as a board member for 2 years. Terri and her husband currently reside in Sturgis, SD.
