1:30 – 2:15 p.m.: WAVE Environmental Scan – Discovering what’s on the horizon, what’s emerging, what’s established, and what’s disappearing In rural housing development.
2:15 – 4:30 p.m.: Workshop – Building affordable neighborhoods with good design with Eric Ambroson, District III
- Do you know what a “good” housing development looks like? Eric Ambroson, District III will help us learn how to utilize good design principles so that new developments offer both affordability and the features homeowners want.
3:30 – 3:45 p.m.: Break
3:45 – 4:30 p.m.: Housing Case Studies
- Using DakotaPlex units in a pocket neighborhood in Aurora, SD with Randy Hanson, Mills Construction
- Redeveloping second story Main Street apartment with HOF funds with Jordan Stricherz, Huron, SD
5:00 – 6:30 p.m.: Networking – sip & shop on Chamberlain’s Main Street

9:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Reverse RFP with Resource Providers – providers bring a housing idea they are dreaming about or working on for their community and meet 1:1 with resource providers to create a plan forward.
12:00 – 12:45 p.m.: Lunch
12:45 – 1:30 p.m.: Skill Building – Housing Infrastructure Program workshop with Lorraine Polak, South Dakota Housing
1:30 p.m.: Closing Circle & Next Steps
