SUMMARY:Resource Partners' Coffee Break at EDPA Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:Date: September 20\, 2023 \nTime: 8:00 a.m. \nLocation: Daktronics B Room at Dacotah Bank Center\, 824 32nd Ave.\, Brookings\, SD 57006 \n  \nAn invitation from organization President\, Joe Bartmann\nHey fellow Rural Resource Partners!  \nI’m hosting a coffee break at the EDPA Annual Conference on September 20 at 8:00 a.m. in Daktronics B Room at the Dacotah Bank Center. It’s only for us Resource Partners. Since we will all be there to support rural community leaders who will be showing up\, I think we can do that better by doing it together.  \nDuring the coffee break\, I’ll host a conversation about how we might support leaders in rural communities. I think it’ll be helpful to decide together how we want to organize our efforts just a bit so that we can create the biggest impact during our time together at the conference.  \nHere’s a very short video I made to explain a little more about why I’m inviting you. \nI hope you’ll join me there\, and please invite any other members of your team who will be around. But remember\, this is for Resource Partners only. I’ll see you in Brookings!  \nTo the future of rural\, \nJoe

SUMMARY:Thriverr LIVE: Age-friendly housing and workforce housing: How are they connected?
DESCRIPTION:Brought to you by\nThe housing stock in your community is an asset. Over the last several decades\, that supply has become tighter partly because older residents choose to stay in their homes longer and longer. With rising construction costs\, it’s challenging to develop workforce housing for younger families who also want to live in our communities. How might a focused effort on the changing housing needs of older residents help meet the workforce housing needs in your community? \nOur guests include: Cliff Mesner\, Mesner Development Company\, Central City\, NE and Richard Duncan\, RL Mace Universal Design Institute\, Ashville\, NC. Sponsored by AARP South Dakota\, this Thriverr LIVE event will bring together housing experts with age friendly\, universal design experience\, housing developers\, and community leaders for a conversation about this important topic. \nDate & Time: November 16\, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. CT \nRegister Here
